Yang Yi Young Scientist Fellowship

The Yang Yi Young Scientist Fellowship was set up to memorialize Prof. Yang Yi, a former senior staff member of Shanghai Ocean University, AquaFish CRSP researcher, and past president of the Asian Fisheries Society (AFS). The Fellowship supports excellent young scientists in presenting their findings at the triennial Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum (AFAF) run by the AFS.

- Any student who is undertaking research for his/her doctoral degree in any aspect of fisheries and aquaculture is eligible to apply for the grant;
- The applicant should be from one of the countries in Asia Pasific;
- The applicant should not be over the age of 35 yrs ; and
- The applicant should have been registered with one of the Universities in Asia Pasific and undertaking research in any aspect of fisheries and aquaculture;

Quality papers presented at the 12AFAF will be invited to submit a full paper for possible publication in the Asian Fisheries Science (AFS journal), a SCOPUS-indexed journal of the Asian Fisheries Society (http://www.asianfisheriessociety.org/publication/index.php). Full papers must be submitted following the AFS online submission process (https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/afsj). The paper must strictly follow the guidelines of the AFS journal (http://www.asianfisheriessociety.org/publication/guideline.php). The AFS journal has four regular issues — March, June, September and December.
