The 12th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum welcomes submission of abstracts for papers which can be presented in two formats:
  • Individual presentation

This is open to anyone interested in presenting work done in Asian fisheries and aquaculture related to science, technology, or policy. The work can be presented in regular concurrent sessions as oral presentation (15 minutes per paper), as flash talk (5 minutes per paper), or as illustrated poster presentation.

  • Regular oral presentation

This type of presentation is for 10 min, and is one in a series of papers in a 1- to 2-hour session on a particular forum session, each followed by 5 minutes question time. Timing is crucial in this presentation.

Students who are willing to join an oral presentation competition must indicate “yes, I am a student willing to join the oral presentation competition” in the abstract to be submitted and to submit the full paper by March 1, 2019.

Three best student oral presentations will be announced during the closing ceremony.

  • Flash talk

This presentation is for students only. The presenter is given five minutes to present a research work in an accessible manner. There is no need for the use of PowerPoint or jargons in the presentation. Use only the stage and the voice to persuade people that your research is fascinating and important. A prop or two can be used to liven up the presentation.

  • Poster Presentation

The poster of the research work will be displayed in an area in the forum venue. Authors are required to be available during poster presentation to provide further information or answer questions about the poster.

Students who are willing to join a poster presentation competition must indicate “yes, I am a student willing to join the poster presentation competition” in the abstract to be submitted and to submit the full paper by March 1, 2019.
